LAUNCH GIVEAWAY RULES
1) Sponsor
The sponsor is Golden Pines Law (the “Sponsor”), 121 Tryon Point Rd, Albany, PE, office@goldenpineslaw.com, 902-201-4303. This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Meta Platforms, Inc. or Facebook (“Meta”).
2) Eligibility
Open only to legal residents of Prince Edward Island who are 18 years of age or older at time of entry. Employees, contractors, and immediate family/household members of the Sponsor are not eligible. Sponsor may require government-issued ID or other proof of PEI residency and age for verification.
3) Promotion Period
Starts November 2nd at 6:30pm Atlantic Time (AT) and ends November 9th at 9:00pm AT (the “Promotion Period”).
4) How to Enter (Free)
During the Promotion Period:
Like the contest post;
Follow @GoldenPinesLaw on Facebook; and
Comment on the Giveaway post telling us your favourite local PEI spot.
Sharing the post is optional.
Limit one (1) entry per person (not per account). Automated, duplicate, or fraudulent entries are void. No purchase or payment is required or accepted for entry.
5) Prizes and Approximate Retail Value (ARV)
There are five (5) prizes available: each winner will receive one (1) CAD $100 gift card to a local PEI business. The gift cards are for A1 Pizza, House of Spice, Summerside Butcher Shop, Leonhard’s, and Receiver Coffee. Total ARV of all prizes: CAD $500. Gift cards are subject to the issuer’s terms. No cash redemption, substitution, or transfer, except Sponsor may substitute a prize of equal or greater value if a stated prize becomes unavailable.
6) Winner Selection & Odds
On or about November 9th in the late evening, or November 10th, Sponsor will conduct a random draw from all eligible entries received. Odds depend on the number of eligible entries.
7) Winner Notification & Confirmation
Selected entrants will be notified by Facebook direct message from the @GoldenPinesLaw account and must:
(a) respond within 48 hours;
(b) correctly answer a mathematical skill-testing question; and
(c) complete any requested eligibility verification (e.g., proof of PEI residency and age).
If a selected entrant fails any of the foregoing, an alternate entrant may be selected at Sponsor’s discretion.
8) Publicity & Use of Name
By accepting a prize, each winner consents to the publication of their name and municipality on Sponsor’s channels (e.g., Facebook/website) to announce the results.
9) Conduct; Content Guidelines
Entries must be civil and suitable for a general audience. Sponsor may, in its sole discretion, disqualify entries that are unlawful, offensive, defamatory, infringe rights, or otherwise violate these Rules or Facebook’s community standards.
10) General Conditions
Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, suspend, or modify the promotion (in whole or in part) if fraud, technical failures, or any other factor impairs the integrity or proper functioning of the promotion, or for any reason beyond Sponsor’s reasonable control. Sponsor’s decisions are final and binding on all matters related to this promotion. Proof of submission is not proof of receipt.
11) Release & Limitation of Liability
By participating, entrants release and hold harmless Sponsor, Meta, gift-card issuers, and their respective owners, officers, directors, employees, and agents from any and all liability for any injury, loss, or damage of any kind arising from or in connection with participation or any prize. Meta is fully released by each entrant; questions should be directed to Sponsor, not Meta.
12) Privacy
Sponsor will collect and use personal information solely to administer this promotion (e.g., contacting and verifying entrants/winners) and to announce winner names/municipalities as set out above. We do not sell entrant data. For other inquiries, review our privacy policy.
13) Disputes; Governing Law
These Rules and the promotion are governed by the laws of Prince Edward Island and applicable federal laws of Canada, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Prince Edward Island.
